Updated the drivers and software and the pilot light comes on now but not the recording light. By Ted Felix November I think they preserve the standard of the input now. Perhaps it is passing hajppauge on hauppaute vlc and ffmpeg who then behave differently when faced with bad input. If I were asked for a recommendation I would ask how desperate you are to capture the analog data. This device works very good. I am very pleased with the results.
